Wajima Lacquer
Wajima-nuri is a prestigious Japanese lacquerware technique from Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, celebrated for its exceptional durability, intricate craftsmanship, and timeless elegance. This meticulous process involves applying multiple layers of lacquer ('urushi') to wood, each layer carefully polished to perfection. To ensure lasting strength, a natural mineral base is used as a foundation. The final touch often includes delicate makie designs, where gold or silver powder is artfully sprinkled onto the lacquer, creating exquisite patterns. With its rich cultural heritage and unmatched quality, Wajima-nuri is cherished as a luxury item both in Japan and around the world.
This is a rare chance to own such exquisite Fude.
